The Immigration Offices in Nepal make it simple for tourists to get a visa when they arrive. This helps people flying to Nepal for lesure, vacation,adventure, trekking, culture, explore and many more activities. The visa on arrival process is quick and easy. You might wait in line during busy times like spring or fall. To skip lines, get your visa first from a Nepalese embassy or consulate outside Nepal. You decide what works best for you.
If you get your visa from a Nepalese embassy, you must enter Nepal within six months of the issue date. Your stay time starts on the day you arrive in Nepal. All visas you get on arrival are tourist visas. They let you leave and come back to Nepal many times. The tourist visa on arrival is the only way to enter Nepal as a visitor. Even if you come for trekking, climbing mountains, or seeing family, start with a tourist visa. Later, you can change it to fit your plans at the Department of Immigration. You need to show the right papers for that.
People from these countries must get a visa from a Nepalese embassy or consulate first. They cannot get it on arrival.
If you did not get a visa before your flight, follow these steps at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). It takes about 15 to 30 minutes.
Fill the Arrival Card when you land.
Also fill the online Tourist Visa form. Do it before you fly on the official Department of Immigration website. Print the receipt with the barcode. It works for 15 days Or use the machines at the airport when you arrive.
Go to the bank counter. Pick how long you want to stay: 15 days, 30 days, or 90 days.

Take your passport, form, and receipt to the officer.

You can make your stay longer. Go to the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu or the office in Pokhara for tourist visas.
For other visa types, go only to the main office in Kathmandu. You can stay up to one year if you qualify (not for business visas). All visas start as tourist ones. To change the type, visit the Department of Immigration.
