Hattiban Rock Climbing is one of the closest and most accessible climbing areas in the Kathmandu Valley, located about 17 km southwest of Kathmandu. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers, with professional IFMGA/NNMGA field guides providing step-by-step instruction and technical support.
The site offers 8 bolted climbing routes, graded from 6a to 7a, ideal for skill development, movement training, and high-grade practice. All necessary climbing equipment is provided for a safe and effective climbing experience. Hattiban is a south-facing rock, receiving sunlight throughout the day, which makes it excellent for winter climbing. In spring and summer, the area can be warmer due to direct sun exposure. The peaceful surroundings include Buddhist monasteries and a clean natural environment, adding cultural and spiritual value to the trip.
Participants will enjoy a full day of climbing, learning new techniques while experiencing Nepalese nature and Buddhist culture.Â
