Chitwan Jungle Safari is one of the most popular adventurous tours for those who have a dream to see wild animals, green forests, and the flat landscapes of Nepal. Chitwan National Park was declared a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site in 1979. It is situated in the southern part of Central Nepal, covering 932 sq km, and is covered by deciduous forests overlooking the flood plains of Narayani, Rapti, and Reu rivers.
The headquarters of Chitwan National Park at Kasara is a 21 km drive from Bharatpur, which is about 20 minutes by air or 146 km by road from Kathmandu. The park offers a wide range of resorts, hotels, and lodges for accommodation. The Chitwan Jungle Safari tour is suitable for all age groups.
Chitwan package tour offers a wilderness of a rich ecosystem that includes mammals, birds, reptiles, and water animals of several kinds. The highlights of this park are the 500 Asian one- horned rhinoceros and some hundred nocturnal Royal Bengal tigers that live in the dense forests of the park. You will discover a lost world of towering trees and twisting vines, prehistoric rhino and lumbering elephants, crocodile, python, and deer, brilliantly colored birds, and, if you are fortunate, the superb Royal Bengal tiger. Sharing the home with these are other animals like rhesus monkeys, grey langurs, leopards, and wild cats.
Beyond wildlife, one of the most enriching aspects of the Chitwan experience is the vibrant Tharu culture, their way of living, cultures, traditions, and heart-touching Tharu dance. Here you do many activities like elephant back jungle safari, jungle walk, canoe ride, jeep drive, etc., all carefully arranged by Himalaya Sacred Trek and Expedition.
The Chitwan Jungle Safari tour can be customised according to travellers’ schedules, interests, and adventure preferences, ensuring a safe, responsible, and lifetime wildlife experience in Nepal.
