Chitwan Jungle Safari is one of the most popular adventurous tours for those who have a dream to see wild animals, green forests, and flat landscapes of Nepal. Chitwan National Park was declared a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site in 1979. It is situated in the southern part of Central Nepal, covering 932 sq km, and is covered by deciduous forests overlooking the flood plains of Narayani, Rapti, and Reu rivers.
The headquarters of Chitwan National Park at Kasara is a 21 km drive from Bharatpur, which is about 20 minutes by air or 146 km by road from Kathmandu. The park offers a wide range of resorts, hotels, and lodges for accommodation. The Chitwan Jungle Safari tour is suitable for all age groups.
This 4-day Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour offers an immersive experience into one of Nepal’s richest ecosystems, home to a remarkable diversity of mammals, birds, reptiles, and aquatic species. The park is famous for its population of over 500 endangered one-horned Asian rhinoceroses and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. During the safari, you may encounter elephants, deer, crocodiles, pythons, rhesus monkeys, grey langurs, leopards, wild cats, and a wide variety of colorful birdlife.
Key activities of the tour include an exciting jeep safari deep into the national park, a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River to observe gharials and marsh mugger crocodiles, a visit to the Crocodile Breeding Centre, guided jungle walks, and opportunities for bird watching.
Adding cultural richness to the experience is the vibrant Tharu community, where you can learn about their traditional lifestyle, customs, and enjoy an engaging Tharu cultural dance performance.
The 4-day Chitwan Jungle Safari is carefully arranged by Himalaya Sacred Trek and Expedition to match travellers’ schedules and interests, offering a perfect balance of wildlife adventure, nature exploration, and cultural experience, creating truly lifetime memories in the heart of Nepal’s jungle.
