TRIP DETAILS

Nepal is a paradise for adventure lovers as there are dozens of adventurous activities in the lap of the Himalaya. Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Return Trek is a trip where one can have the chance to view the extraordinary views of the Himalayas in a shorter period of time compared to the trekking package of the ABC Trek.

Trekking is adventurous and fun. That’s why we, Himalaya Sacred Trek and Expedition, have made a trip where one can trek and return by helicopter to reach Pokhara. It will definitely be the option considering the shortage of time or physical capability, also, as you can explore the Annapurna region more in less time.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most scenic and challenging treks, specially tailored for adventurous trekkers who want to accomplish and experience the adventurous escape of Base Camp trekking in a limited time duration.

The 10-day ABC Heli Return Trek is moderate and can be accomplished by trekkers of average fitness. The trails of ABC Trek are well-paved and comfortable, plus ascending or descending is slow and gradual, so there is no risk of acute mountain sickness. This short ABC Trek is the best option for the trekkers who dream of trekking to Base Camp but have time limitations.

Note: The ABC Trek is adventurous, full of spectacular views, and a great trip, so take a look and challenge yourself to experience and explore the world full of surprises.

You take your rest and enjoy your meal in the evening. Also, the trekking guide would do a briefing or explain to you about the trek. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m, 6 hours)

Early in the morning, we’ll drive to Pokhara, viewing beautiful scenarios of Kathmandu and Pokhara on the way, such as rivers, forests, hills, and many more. We take lunch on the way to Pokhara during the daytime, then start our journey to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, if we have time, then we may look around a bit of Pokhara’s views. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 03Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,070m, 1:30 hrs) then Trek to Ulleri (2,020m, 4-5 hrs)

After a nourishing breakfast at the bank of a lake, we’ll continue our journey with a short drive through the beautiful landscape on the way to Nayapul, where we will start our trek from here. The route follows pleasantly through the fertile jungle and terraced fields along a rushing river. This place is an important point along the trekking route that runs from Pokhara towards the Annapurna and Machapuchare base camps and further towards the town of Jomsom, that we will follow the tri through the north bank of the Burundi Khola (Bhurungdi Khola), steadily up the side of the valley to Hille (1,945m) and after a short climb, we will reach Ulleri, a large Magar village. Overnight at a lodge.

Day 04Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,880m, 5 hrs)

Today we’ll head towards Ghorepani. We ascend more gently through the rhododendron forest, where we can see wild animals like monkeys, and along the way, we can also see springs and rivers, making the land seem like paradise towards Nanghethani (2,460m).

After an hour more walking, we reach our destination, Ghorepani, a spectacular settlement located on a ridgeline. The view of the Himalayas from this village is breathtaking. We can see the panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayas on a clear day. Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV, V, Tukuche, Dhampus, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Barah Sikhar, and Machhapuchhre are some major peaks seen from here. Overnight at a lodge.

Day 05Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210m, 1 hr), then Trek to Tadapani (2,630m, 5-6 hrs)

If your sunrise lover today is your day, we’ll have an early start of the day as we begin before sunrise to ascend to Poon Hill just in time to view the sunrise in the Himalaya. After taking a natural view of the sunrise. We can have a brilliant panorama of mountain ranges from Poon Hill, including the mountains Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, more than 32 ranges of the Annapurnas, and much more, which will make you feel that heaven is a place on earth.

After enjoying the views, we return to our lodge for a hearty breakfast, then follow a pleasant forest trail through rhododendron and oak groves to Deurali (2,960m), then we descend to Bandhani and finally to Tadapani, another beautiful village with great views of the peaks. As you can assume, today will be the day of glancing at mountains and hills to make memories for life. Overnight at a lodge.

Day 06Trek from Tadapani to Sinwa (2,300m, 6 hours)

After breakfast, we will leave Tadapani and follow the trail that goes steeply downhill towards the Khimrong River. The trail is made of magnificent views of lush rhododendron forests and mountains. Then we reach the bank of the Khimrong river, cross a bridge over the river, and walk for around three hours to Chomrong. Chomrong is ideal for getting an undisturbed view of Machhapuchhre Himal and Annapurna Himalaya. We descend for a while and start ascending until we reach the village of Shinwa. Stay overnight at Sinwa.

Day 07Trek from Sinwa to Deurali (3,230m, 6 hours)

Trekking ahead, we follow the trail that traverses through the dense rhododendron and bamboo forests today. We leave Sinwa and head to Dovan. We then cross two small streams on our way to climb up to the Hinku cave (an overhanging rock-like formation). We make a final ascent to Deurali from Hinku cave. We stayed overnight at Deurali.

Day 08Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,210m, 5 hours)

Everyone will get excited about the day, as you will be headed to Annapurna Base Camp today. We follow a path that gently climbs up through a narrow gorge along the Modi Khola glacier valley. We pass forests and other amazing landscapes to make our way to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Machhapuchhre Himal is not allowed for climbing purposes, so it’s not a real base camp. However, it offers a 360-degree view of the mountains in the Annapurna panorama, the same as a base camp. Further, we will climb up to Annapurna Base Camp.

From Annapurna Base Camp, we will get a 360-degree view from Himchuli, past Annapurna South to Annapurna I (8,097m) and Khangsar Kang, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Machhapuchhare. The views hereabouts will give you such clear pictures that will linger in your memories for as long as it takes. The base camp is also regarded as the Annapurna Sanctuary, as it’s surrounded by mountains under the conservation area. Stay overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 09Heli Ride from Annapurna Base Camp to Pokhara and Fly Back to Kathmandu (1,400m, 25 min)

We will head to Pokhara with the help of the Helicopter from Annapurna Base Camp. Moreover, the flight takes us close to the mountains in the Annapurna region, especially Mt.Annapurna with neighboring peaks.
