TRIP DETAILS

The Manaslu and Annapurna ambitious trek combines two of the most beautiful trekking routes in Nepal: the Manaslu Circuit and the Annapurna Circuit, linked by two high mountain passes rising above 5,000 meters. Manaslu (8,156 m), the world’s seventh-highest peak, dominates the region, which was only opened to trekkers in 1992.

The journey begins north of Gorkha, following the Budhi Gandaki River through deep gorges, terraced hillsides, and traditional villages. The route then turns westward into a high alpine valley characterized by typical Tibetan settlements and a number of beautiful monasteries.

A challenging ascent over Larkya La Pass (5,106 m) rewards trekkers with breathtaking views over the upper Marsyangdi Valley. After Pisang, the trail offers spectacular close-up views of snow-covered and glaciated peaks, including Annapurna II, III, and IV. Dramatic hanging glaciers and deeply eroded moraines form striking natural sculptures along the route.

The combined Manaslu-Annapurna trek reaches its highest point at Thorong La Pass (5,416 m) before descending to Jomsom. From Jomsom, trekkers may either fly to Pokhara or continue on foot along the Kali Gandaki River toward Ghorepani and Poon Hill, where unforgettable sunrise views of Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare, and Annapurna South await.

The two iconic circuits that are organised by Himalaya Sacred Trek and Expedition offer a perfect blend of high-altitude adventure, cultural immersion, and spectacular Himalayan scenery.
