The Everest Base Camp Three Pass Trek is one of the classic and famous treks, where you will be led through a pass at an elevation of over 5,000 meters. It is one of the best trekking routes in the Everest region, where you can see nature with the snow up and down the Himalayas, experiencing the highest airport flight.
The three passes are Kongma La Pass (5,528 m), Cho La Pass (5,420 m), and Renjo La Pass (5,340 m). This trek offers you the best view of dozens of hills and mountains covered with snow, old monasteries that contain old architecture, spiritual stories, statues and monks with peaceful Sherpa people. Exploring the Himalayan lifestyle with beautiful Himalayan villages and a museum with old instruments and Sherpa cultural-related things that you have never seen before.

We complete our customs formalities at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Afterwards, there will be a representative from our company who will take you to your hotel. We can then spend the rest of the day resting. In the evening, we get to try Nepalese cuisine at a welcome dinner hosted by our company. Overnight in Kathmandu.
After lunch, we drove to Manthali airport, which is located in Ramechhap district, so it is also known as Ramechhap airport, as it faces attractive views of Kathmandu and Manthali. During the trekking season, flights operate via Ramechhap, while in the off-season, direct flights from Kathmandu to Lukla are available. After reaching Manthali, we will stay overnight in a lodge at Manthali.
Early in the morning, we flew from Manthali to Lukla, experiencing incredible and beautiful views of Manthali and Lukla. After reaching Lukla, we start to trek to a ridge at 2800m, before a gradual ascent to the final ridge from where we descend to Surke, following the path toward Phakding. You will trek on the trail cut deep into the steep rocky side of the valley, where you can come across mule caravans making their way alongside you. At the end, the trekking trail joins back onto the Dudh Koshi River valley, and you can see amazing views of the ebbing river below as you stand high above on the steep side of the impenetrable valley. Overnight at a guest house or lodge.
After Breakfast at Phakding, we will pass through the famous Namche Bazaar, where altitude gains as the walk progress morning walk starts following the river and crossing several times to reach Monjo village near Sagarmatha National Park entrance, from here walking on river valley and george covered with woodland of tall rhododendron pines and fir trees. After a few hours, we will reach Namche Bazaar, an ideal place for a rest day to acclimatize to the main town/ village of Khumbu, where a colourful and exciting Saturday market takes place once a week.
After breakfast, we will go to the viewpoint, just behind the back of Sagarmatha National Park headquarters. The panoramic views of the Everest Himalayan chain, Mt.Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and many more. Then we walk down to the Sherpa cultural centre where we can observe the gallery and the documentary of Sherpa’s ascending Mt.Everest. We hike up to Everest View Hotel via Syangboche airport, have a cup of tea and trek to Khyangjuma, where we can see many wonderful mountains as well as not so much crowd, a peaceful place to stay, overnight at a lodge.
After Breakfast, we started trekking to Tengboche. On the way, mountain goats can be seen. A continual walk through rhododendron forests, we descend about 45 minutes across the river, a place called Phunki Tenga, a small place with few lodges, an ideal place for a refreshing or lunch stop. Then we will climb up to Tengboche all the way to Tengboche through the zig-zag trail. Tengboche is the right place to stay, which is surrounded by white peaks just below the Ama Dablam. Overnight at a lodge.
With the fresh sunrise, we will take breakfast and go on a trek to Dingboche, crossing rivers and hills of Pangboche among various mani stones. Then we will take a short break on the hillside to gain new energy. After that, we will make a gentle walk to reach Dingboche Sherpa village, from where we can see stunning views of himalayas and villages on the hillside with beautiful nature covered with greenery. It will take about 6 hours to reach Dingboche from Tengboche. We can see the Lhotse peak, Ama Dablam peak and Island Peak clearly with a cool environment.
Today, you can have another acclimatization day. After breakfast, we will see the beauty of Dingboche village with the peaceful people. Then we will have a gentle hike upto Nagarjun hill for the stunning view of Himalayas, hills, and small Sherpa villages about 3 hours from Dingboche. Today we will enjoy the beauty of nature and rest for the next day’s trip.
On this day, after breakfast in the morning, with the sunrise view. We will gently walk to reach Chukkung for the night stay, from where it will make it easier to pass the highest and most difficult pass among the three passes. We can see various mani ( stone with symbols ), different animals, prayer flags, birds, statues, and views of other villages with a way to reach Everest Base Camp.
This is the first day when we are going to start the trip from the sunrise view. We have to make the high pass trek possible because it is the highest pass on this trip, where we have to hike through hills, a sloppy stone trail. We should carry water, a packed lunch and other eating stuff on the way so that we can get energy because there are a lack of shops on this route. We can see great views of Island Peak and the jagged ridge of Amphu Lapcha on the way through the hill. We can see various prayer flags, small frozen lakes, with cool wind, which makes you feel like hiking more. After 5 hours of the trek, we will reach Kongma La. After that, we will hike to the top of Kongma La, where we can find a prayer flag, marking the pass. After that, we walked the classical route through the Khumbu glacier, which led us to Lobuche in safety and sound. We will stay in Lobuche after this hard trek of 10-11 hours.
Today, after breakfast, early in the morning, we will hike to the Gorak Shep with an up and down hill path with beautiful mountains, hills, and snow glaciers. We will have lunch in Gorak Shep and hike to the highest base camp in the world, where the trail follows windy and rocky paths and the ridge of Khumbu glaciers. After reaching Base Camp, we will see a fantastic view of the Khumbu icefall and colourful camp sites of the expedition and fall back to Gorak Shep for the night stay because the trekking group are not typically allowed to stay overnight in BC.
We will be starting the trek for 3 hours early in the morning to Kala Patthar (5,545m), after tea, to see the breathtaking panoramic sunrise view of Mt Everest, Mt Pumori, Mt Lingtren, Khumbutse, Mt Nuptse, Lhotse, Mt Ama Dablam, and many other hills and mountains with a cool, windy environment.
We will be capturing the beauty of sunrise with the group on camera and our souls that remain for our whole life. Then we will gently walk down to Gorak Shep for breakfast. Then we will travel to Dzongla, crossing streams, rivers and see the soaring view of Ama Dablam and Kangtega-Thamserku, view some villages in the floor of the hills and lakes on the hill, which makes our way move faster to Dzongla, which offers the best view of Cholatse Peak.
After a delicious breakfast in the Dzongla, we will make about 3 hours of hiking to reach Cho La pass (5,420 m) through icy paths offering various views of the Himalayas and hills covered with snow, so it will be a tough day of the trip. The trekkers should carry stuff like crampons, ice axes or necessary gear so that it will be safe to walk on icy roads. Then we will move to reach Gokyo crossing streams, Lake and the Sherpa villages on the way with local people if possible. The trail brings us to the Ngozumpa glacier edge after a short walk, which is the longest glacier in Nepal. Reaching the other side of the glacier, we get a view of the second of the Gokyo lakes in the series of six lakes. Then we will land at Gokyo village on the edge of Gokyo Tso. We will stay overnight in Gokyo after an 8-10 hour hike.
This day is acclimatization day as well as a special day to see the three sacred lakes and climb up the Gokyo Ri peak (5,357m) above the lakes from where it offers you an excellent view of Mt Everest (8,848 m), Mt Makalu (8,481m), and other beautiful landscapes from the top of the hill which is compared with Kala Patthar. Then we will gently move down to Gokyo, seeing other lakes and the lifestyle of villagers in green and icy places. After reaching Gokyo, we will enjoy the meal at the last human settlement and rest our limbs for your next day trek to Renjo La Pass.
After the fresh breakfast in the morning, we will hike to Murlung (4,310m), crossing Renjo La pass for a night stay. The trail follows the edge of the Rolwaling region. We will be passing through the zig-zag way and climbing uphill from where we can see the shining mountains with sunlight, like Everest, Makalu, Gyachung Tak, Tengi Ragi Tau, the Himalayan range, and the Rolwaling range. Then we will have a packed lunch on the way. The trail drops down the slippery path ahead of Renjo La at the edge of Relama Tsho. Then the trail follows a sandy and boulder path after crossing Renja Khola, and after some hours, we reach Murlung by walking along the bank of Bhote Koshi. We will stay overnight in Marlung after 10 hours of hiking.
We will have breakfast early in the morning with sunrise and then head down to reach Namche. The trail goes through the Bhote Koshi River and walks down to Taranga. Then we will gently move towards the green valley called Thambuteng Village. In this village, we will explore the Kyarokerok Gompa, which is 350 years old, and consists of old statues, murals and old architecture you have never seen. Then we will move through the market of Thame, crossing the suspension bridge and reach Samade. Then we will gently reach Namche through various Gompas, colourful flags, prayer flags, Mani wheel, chortens and small statues. After that, we will stay on the second night of the trip in Namche, enjoying the second last day of the trip after a 7-8 hour trek.
After having breakfast in Namche, we will slowly move down the steep path crossing the Dudh Koshi river bridge. We will see various small gompas, animals like yaks, prayer flags, and green nature covered with beautiful rhododendron flowers. After walking for a few hours, we will get into some of the villages and on the way, we can see Lukla appearing beautiful and fascinating from a far distance. Then we will finally reach Lukhla and enjoy the success of the trip, which will be our last night in the Himalayas.
Morning transfer to Lukla Tenzing-Hillary airport for a short sweeping flight to Manthali airport located in Ramechhap district, facing scenic views of mountains, green scenery of hills and farm fields with nice villages and towns as the flight lands at Manthali airport and drive back to Kathmandu and stay overnight.
Your adventure for this trip comes to an end today! We will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way home, you will have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
